Manifold Cottage In Brief…
- Freestanding Federation cottage.
- Traditional features maintained and restored in existing part of home.
- Brick veneer extension at the rear of the house and a first floor addition in lightweight cladding.
A Stylish Take on Federation Elegance
A slight face lift was all the picture-perfect facade of this freestanding Federation cottage needed.
Beyond this, Select Construction brought a well-considered renovation to life, transforming the existing sections of the home from tired and dark spaces into bright, fresh and comfortable bedrooms and living areas. Restoring many traditional features such as the beautiful ornate ceilings, picture rails, fire place mantels and re-polishing existing floor boards has preserved the charm and personality of this home.
The rear half of the home has been extended to create a modern, spacious, open plan living area that embraces a new deck and beautifully landscaped private garden. The light filled kitchen, designed for entertaining is the heart of this home, with high end appliances, abundant storage and stone bench tops.
The upstairs extension, constructed of lightweight cladding, includes a master bedroom, bathroom and study and is the ultimate parent’s retreat that this young family desired.
Other features of this project include ducted air conditioning, built in cabinetry throughout, an attic for additional storage and cellar.
